Those of us with busy schedules and lots of commitments know all too well the feeling of losing track of who we're meeting with, when we're hosting that webinar and what class we signed up for.
In this workshop, we're going to use the power of Notion's connected databases to bring together all of the important dates & times for meetings, classes, events and more do you always know what's coming.
The At-a-Glance Notion dashboard workshop that helps creative entrepreneurs avoid the back-and-forth between important Notion pages and Google Calendar so they can finally have a more seamless and integrated workflow.
You’ve tried the Notion Calendar app but you don’t get how it’s any different from using Google Calendar so what’s the point?
You’ve set up databases using the calendar layout but you can’t figure out how to get multiple database sources to show up in the same calendar view.
Every time you try to improve your workflow using this particular function, you can’t get it to do what you want it to do and it leaves you feeling a little deflated.
Eventually, you decide it’s too complicated and go back to what you know. It’s not perfect but it works and at least you understand it.
You can see your schedule - today, this week, this month - in Notion. No more clicking away to your calendar while you’re in the middle of a planning out your time and tasks.
You set it up in this workshop and since using it for a few weeks, this new workflow is now beautifully integrated into your Notion workspace.
Your life didn’t radically change but with this small and important time commitment, your weekly and monthly planning just got a little easier.
This is a trickier Notion set-up but you don’t have to do it alone. At-a-Glance offers you a step-by-step guide to having a customized calendar dashboard in Notion
Here’s what happens when you join:
Step 1: sign up and you’ll get an automated email with helpful information on how to access the workshop and class materials.
Step 2: you’ll receive reminder emails with the Zoom link so you don’t have to go looking for it 5 minutes before the workshop begins.
Step 3: we’ll meet live for about 2.5hrs and build the dashboard together - you can follow along and ask questions so you know exactly how to create it for yourself.
Step 4: you’ll have lifetime access to the recording and all class materials so you have all the resources you need to be successful with building this dashboard.
LIVE CLASS → build with me or follow along and ask questions so you can deepen your understanding of how Notion works for a system like this. This is great for interactive learners.
THE RECORDING → lifetime access to the recording means you can go back and revisit every step of the build. Perfect for visual and tactile learners.
THE WORKSHEET → I create a set of written instructions for every workshop I do that accompanies the recording of the build. A must-have for multi-dimensional learners.
THE CONVERSATION → there is a comments section for the workshop so anytime you get stuck, need clarification or just want to troubleshoot something, leave a comment and I’ll respond within 48 business hours.
I created the At-a-Glance dashboard workshop because quite frankly, the calendar layout of Notion databases is underrated and underused. And that’s because it’s pretty tricky to set up and challenging to get your head around how to bring multiple databases together.
Underused because it’s not easy to set it up in a dynamic way - bringing information across multiple databases into one place where you can see everything at a glance.
Underrated because even though calendar apps like Google and iCal are incredibly functional, using Notion for viewing meetings, events etc is a great way to integrate planning into our biz admin time alongside things like task allocation, time blocking and project planning.
If you come to the live call but don’t finish the dashboard, you have lifetime access to the recording so you can go at your own pace, in your own time.
If you miss the live call, you’ll have the recording, the written instructions and the source dashboard for reference.
You've got questions. We've got answers.
I tend to move through the build fairly quickly. This can be overwhelming for some Notion users, especially those who are newer or less familiar with all of the features.
You don’t actually have to keep up though - your work is in paying attention, understanding what I’m building and why. That’s why I encourage lots of questions and discussion because I don’t want to gate-keep the knowledge. Once the live workshop is over, you can use the worksheet and the recording to go back and build at your own pace.
You don’t have to come to the live call. You’ll have lifetime access to the recording and you can always ask me questions in the comments section on the class portal.
It absolutely is! In fact, this workshop was designed with you in mind. For many of us, we learn by doing and so I live-build this system from scratch and provide commentary along the way so you can see all of the different functions in Notion within the context of the topic. No more theory or abstract learning - you’ll learn the basics and the more advanced functions through contextual learning.
Honestly, probably not. I go through the build at a good clip so if you’re a seasoned Notion user, this will be a fun challenge for you. There’s also a good chance I’ll demonstrate something you didn’t know Notion can do!
I totally hear you on this. Even as a Notion super-user, I still seek out new things to learn and I often come across teachers who make things too complex. My solution is to use Notion’s terms but translate everything into plain language that anyone can understand.
I also explain things in multiple ways, I repeat parts of the demonstration until everyone is clear on what I did. Students always ask me to say something again or to show them what I did again and I always oblige - I promise to do everything I can to make your learning experience make sense.
Maybe you’ve tried YouTube tutorials, hoping to finally get your head around this complex but fun tool but instead you left more confused.
Or maybe you’ve joined other Notion programs, hoping to get the support you need only to feel like the group discussions were over your head.
My workshops are fun, engaging and accommodate Notion learners of all levels. I hope you’ll consider joining us for this workshop!
