I wonder if you’re like me and you fell in love with Notion because 1) it looked really pretty (let’s be honest) and 2) at first glance, it dangled the tantilizing possibility of better organization and less overwhelm right in front of your nose…
And while I dove straight in, learning everything, watching YouTube videos, building out systems for task and project management, client dashboards, content management and more and ultimately building a business around it, you may have had a different experience.
Does Notion have you more organized than other systems but you know you’re not using it to its fullest potential?
Are you neurodivergent and hoping Notion can support your beautiful brain but don’t know how to do that on your own?
Do you love that Notion is a more cohesive tool than Google but like your Google workspace, Notion has become a repository of chaos?
Like most people, I used Google for writing, document storage and spreadsheets for keeping track of sales. It was easy, familiar and came with the price of my email - it was a no brainer but it lacked the ability to play around with timelines or the order of operations and other things I couldn’t articulate because I didn’t know there was an alternative.
And then I found Notion.
Notion combines text, databases, images, integrations and more into one dynamic and infinitely customizeable organizational layout. It was pretty much everything I needed to run my business under one roof.
And the aesthetics!! I became obsessed with Notion on Pinterest, Google, YouTube etc and I learned everything I could to make my Notion workspaces feel fun or relaxing or inspiring or energized.
In the early days, I didn’t meet many potential clients or business colleagues who were already using Notion - I was kind of the only one in my circles.
But that didn’t last long because by 2023, pretty much everyone had caught the bug but I quickly noticed that while I made Notion my main focus, others whose focus was coaching or teaching or something else, were struggling to get Notion more integrated into their everyday work life.
You signed up for Notion, excited by the possibilities but then got stuck, not sure of where to begin.
You went to YouTube to try and learn how to set things up but the results were unsatisfying.
You’re using Notion for some things but you no longer know where to find the information you added months or years ago.
You don’t want to delete anything but you also don’t have time to sift through and decide what should stay and what should go.
You bought templates, hoping they would fast-track you to a solution but when you tried to implement, you got overwhelmed.
Over the years, you’ve dumped a bunch of information in Notion and now it’s mess and you’re only using a fraction of what’s in there.
You’ve lost track of where you put stuff and don’t know how to organize the darn thing!
This matters when it comes to organizing Notion, especially if you’re neurodivergent because how you need to download, process and call up information is unique to you. I’ve been working with neurodivergent people since I was in my 20s and I’ve learned through gently inquiry that I can help people understand how they think.
I’ve worked with clients who started using Notion to reduce overwhelm, only to be further overwhelmed by Notion! I get it, Notion is a lot and working 1:1 with me, a Notion power user, can help untangle the knots and create simplicity.
You might be unsure when to create a new database. When do you use a multi-select versus a single-select properties? What are automations and do I need formulas?
What are the rules?
Databases and their ability to relate to other databases are Notion’s most fundamentally powerful tool - I can help you figure out what databases, where and why and help you level up your database game.
Do you still have one foot in Google, not sure how to reorganize in Notion? No problem! There are a number of ways to approach a migration from another system, especially Google - and I can make that process pretty quick and mostly painless.
Is your Notion workspace a mess? Be honest. If it’s chaos you’re working with then I will bring my cleaning tools and organization brain and help you develop a solid macro-system or wireframe for all the stuff you’ve been dumping into Notion for the last 2 years. 3 years you say? Well then, let’s get started!!
1. An intake form to help us clearly identify what you want to focus on for our session. Depending on your answers, I may reach out with a couple of more questions so we know how we want to spend our time together.
2. A clear and realistic purpose and goal for our time together. For me, a successful coaching session identifies and answers an important question that will help you move forward with more ease.
3. My Notion know-how and expertise. It's not just that I can help untangle the workflow, system or approach you're trying to create in Notion, I can also help you find the best Notion functions for the job.
4. A recording and / or transcript of our session. If you would like the ability to refer back to our conversation then you will be able to record and keep our call for your own reference.
5. I teach and train based on how you learn. I teach by helping you get used to being in Notion - which means that either you watch me and then use the recording to practice on your own OR you drive and I guide you, leaving you with the recording for you to go back to
You've got questions. I've got answers.
This coaching session is designed to leave you with better Notion skills than you had before, I encourage you to do any actual creating in Notion while I guide you.
I totally get this. It’s like you know how to type perfectly well until someone is watching you. If this is a barrier, you absolutely don’t need to share screen - I can always share my screen and demonstrate for you, leaving you to try it out on your end without the pressure of my eyeballs making you feel wobbly.
Notion will not solve all of your tech problems. As far as I know, there isn’t one software that does everything. I love Notion but most of use a suite of tech that helps us meet all of our needs. I'm definitely not here to try and talk you out of using other platforms!
I'm only offering a limited number of coaching spots this time so please limit your purchase to 2 sessions.
Possibly. There are limits to what I can do in Notion but not very many. If we encounter something I don’t know how to do, I’ll find out and circle back.
How it works: purchase your session and get a link to schedule the call.
